FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your Questions, Answered.

IS ACUPUNCTURE AND TCM RIGHT FOR ME?

- Different modalities are used for different conditions. Most of my treatments include acupuncture and are supplemented with other offerings such as cupping, gua sha and herbal prescriptions.  I try not to add too many types of treatment at once to avoid confusing the body.
- Generally, if you are suffering from an acute condition, this will often have faster healing than a chronic condition.
- Remember every body is different and with that, our rate of response with healing is also different.
- I always recommend coming in for a free initial consultation so we can discuss if this is the right treatment method for you.

WHAT TYPES OF CONDITIONS CAN YOU HELP WITH?

- The WHO recommends acupuncture for over 100 different conditions. Just a few of these include allergies, depression, nausea, vomiting, headaches, back pain, sprains, sciatica, bell's palsy, asthma, infertility, insomnia, and many more.

- Clinically, I have also seen incredible improvements with hot flashes, night sweats, tendonitis, anxiety, fear of impending doom, carpal tunnel and digestive upsets.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST TREATMENT?

- It is recommended to avoid coffee or stimulants before your treatment.

- Avoid brushing your tongue the morning of your appointment.

- If you feel more comfortable, you can wear loose clothing, bring shorts and a T-shirt or a medical gown may be provided.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

- Every treatment is unique to the individual. We will walk you through everything, step-by-step, making sure that you are comfortable.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER MY TREATMENT?

- Everybody responds differently, but it is common to feel a little fatigue. Rest if needed.
- Drink lots of water afterwards.
- Please reach our if you have any questions post-treatment.
